BeWhere Holdings Inc. and Trak-iT launch M-IoT devices and solutions on Bell’s LTE-M network

TORONTO – October 26, 2018 –BeWhere  (TSX-V: BEW, OTCQB: BEWFF)  (“BeWhere” or the “Company”) an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) asset tracking solutions provider, and Trak-iT, a leading Canadian provider of tracking solutions under the Fleet Freedom brand, today announced the launch of Canada’s first integrated Mobile-IoT (M-IoT) fleet management solution on Bell’s LTE-M network.

BeWhere and Trak-iT distribute their respective solutions through Bell Mobility, and the exclusive new combined Fleet Freedom offering provides businesses with seamless and easy to use GPS location-based services in a fully integrated solution combining fleet telematics and asset tracking into a single service.

“We have had the opportunity to work with Bell on these game-changing technologies over the past few years and we look forward to expanding that partnership,” said Owen Moore, CEO of BeWhere. “The flexibility and the quality of our M-IoT products allow for simple integration into much larger solutions for customers. We are proud to officially launch with Trak-iT to bring our M-IoT devices to more businesses across the country.”

Fleet Freedom allows customers to gain insights into the status of their vehicles, shipments and drivers from a single dashboard view to ensure on-time arrivals, quality of goods delivered and driver compliance. Real-time notifications also alert to potential theft or forgotten items.

“We have been working towards this kind of solution for a long time, and we are very happy to have found it in our BeWhere and Bell Mobility partners,” said Andrew Singer, General Manager at Trak-iT Wireless. “It supplements our fleet management offering perfectly and allows customers to not only track their vehicles, but also what is on the vehicle. BeWhere’s on-board sensors also broaden the industry verticals that we can target.”

BeWhere has received significant orders from Trak-iT for M-IoT devices, including the BeTen and BeSol Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) M-IoT sensors that provide a lifespan of up to 10 years depending on reporting frequencies and operating conditions.

“Our LTE-M network fully supports the rapidly increasing use of IoT devices on low-power, wide-area networks,” said Nauby Jacob, Vice President, Products & Services for Bell Mobility. “We look forward to the continued development of LTE-M applications with partners like BeWhere and Trak-iT to accelerate IoT innovation in Canada.”

LTE-M (Long Term Evolution, category M1) improves the operating efficiency of IoT devices by enabling very low power consumption and better coverage in underground and other hard to reach locations. Bell’s LTE-M network will support a broad range of large-scale IoT solutions, including smart city services, smart metering, asset tracking, supply chain management, security and alarm monitoring, transportation and logistics, and personal wearables for healthcare and accessibility applications.
