BeWhere At Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2018
The arrival of low-power/low cost) devices (and networks) marks the beginning of the next phase of the Mobile IoT revolution. Where low-energy Bluetooth started with short-range networks, LTE-M and NB-IoT pick up with long-range networks for use-cases where assets are spending significant (or all of their) time ‘outside the 4 walls’ and away from Wi-Fi coverage.
‘Low-power’ references the ability of a device that reports once-a-day to last more than 8 years on a low-power wide-area (LPWA) network. Solar, super capacitor and other power options are available for the endless variety of use cases that are emerging.
